Turning Tough New Hampshire Parcels Into Usable Land

New Hampshire ground doesn’t give anything up easily. Ledge under thin soil, steep grades, stone walls swallowed by fifty years of regrowth — clearing it takes purpose-built machinery and operators who work this terrain every week. Granite State Land Management runs modern, mechanized whole-tree equipment across the White Mountains, Lakes Region, Upper Valley, and Capital Region, taking properties from first cut to finished ground.

Whether you’re opening up a wooded lot for a home site, reclaiming pasture, cutting in a view corridor, or preparing a building pad and access road, we bring the equipment and the plan — and you get clear scope, a real timeline, and a price that doesn’t move after the handshake.

Why New Hampshire Landowners Choose Granite State Land Management

Built for the Toughest Terrain

Our fleet is configured for what New Hampshire actually throws at a job — granite ledge, steep elevation, dense hardwood, soft seasonal ground. The sites other crews walk away from are the ones we plan for.

Technology-Driven Precision

GPS-guided machines and modern low-ground-pressure equipment mean faster work, cleaner results, and a lighter footprint on your land.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between forestry mulching and land clearing?

Land clearing takes the whole tree — down and out, stumps extracted — and takes the parcel to open, workable ground. Forestry mulching shreds brush and smaller trees into mulch in place: one machine, no burn piles, no hauling, and the topsoil stays put. On many properties the right answer is a combination, which we’ll scope on the site walk.

Do you handle both residential and commercial projects?

Yes. Most of our work is for private landowners — house lots, views, trails, pasture, and access — and we also take on commercial and municipal projects, including multi-acre clearing and site work.

How do I get a price for my project?

Call (603) 686-8137 or send a consultation request. We’ll talk through the project, walk the site, and give you an itemized proposal — the price we quote is the price you pay.

Are you insured?

Fully insured for land clearing, forestry mulching, excavation, and site preparation work throughout New Hampshire.
